Togetherness is vital. Resting together as a community can be a simple and powerful health experience.
In a community acupuncture clinic, people are invited into a large tranquil room. There are comfy recliner chairs, nicely clustered to allow for a calm personal space. Many people bring their family or friends to focus on health together.
Community acupuncture patients remove just their socks and shoes to get ready for treatment. Acupuncture can employ points that are easily accessible on the arms and legs and head to treat the whole body.
But why community acupuncture?
• Because for thousands of years, acupuncture has been practiced in groups.
• Because many find the company of others comforting and reassuring.
• Because it increases accessibility and familiarity of acupuncture.
• Because nothing breaks through the isolation of pain, illness, and depression like healing in a room with other people.
• Because there aren’t enough spaces where strangers switch off cell phones and relax side by side and promote social health.

The trick with acupuncture is:
Getting enough acupuncture
Regular frequent treatment is what leads to results and relief. Often, the benefits of the treatments build on each other.
We provide a treatment plan for your condition based on standard protocols and clinical experience. The sliding scale realizes the shared goal of the patient and acupuncturist: We want a positive outcome in a timely, affordable manner.
We encourage you to use your recommended treatment plan (for example: 2 visits per week for 4 weeks) for figuring the fee that works for you.
Some people calculate what is affordable by the week, some by the month. Either way you can adjust the amount whenever you like. No questions asked. We want you pay what you can to get here often enough, to get better and stay better.
Everyone receives our best service, time, and attention
regardless of what they pay.

Why?
• Because working together, we make community acupuncture affordable and sustainable. The sliding scale spreads out the costs over many people.
• Because acupuncture does not have to be expensive in order to be effective. We are pleased to challenge the notion of value being attached to price. It is valuable when you can use it and share it.
• Because it makes acupuncture available to more people. We want to make this work for you and others you know.

Acupuncture is a safe, gentle, and effective way to relieve pain and stress, and promote good health. It is a 2,500+ years-old, empirically-based therapeutic system.
The best way to know if and how acupuncture will benefit you is to TRY IT.
Side effects often include relaxation and an increased sense of well-being.
Treatment is safe for children and during pregnancy and nursing.
We use pre-sterilized, single use, disposal needles only.
It is used for many conditions including:
• Headaches & Migraines
• Anxiety & Panic
• Digestive Upset
• Neck & Shoulder pain, Whiplash
• Leg pain & Sciatica, Sports Injuries
• Insomnia
• Back pain
• Menstrual discomfort
• Seasonal Allergies.
From a modern scientific perspective, acupuncture has a regulating effect on the autonomic nervous system:easing the body out of a “fight or flight” cycle into a “rest and repair” state.
From the traditional perspective, acupuncture works to restore healthy function of the body by prodding the body to remember what it knows how to do.
From a practical perspective, acupuncture imparts a restful state that allows the body to “reset, rest and repair”, reducing pain and stress.
Moreover, you don’t have to believe in it for it to work (acupuncture has been used with good results on animals), and you don’t have to change your beliefs.
Community acupuncture is a simple health tool everyone can know how to use.
